Superman is arguably the first superhero ever, making his debut in 1938. Batman was created in 1939. Superman influenced many more straight-laced derring-doers; he's also a symbol of hope for fans. Batman represents the darker side of heroics, filled with tragedy and revenge, which fans love, and other comics have mimicked.
Nightwing. Superman is a way better leader than Batman. Batman basically trusts nobody, while Superman is inspiring. However, I must agree with @John Valentine: as Nightwing is the best of both
Batman may be better at strategizing, but he’s a learner. If he needs something for a case, I don’t expect him to bust the perfect knowledge out of nowhere; I expect him to research. (Unless he’s being played by Adam West, in which case that’s really Superman in a funny mask.)
Superman is stronger, faster, and more durable than Kratos and has access to vast powers that are able to induce versatile effects. Superman has way better feats and faced some of the most devastating villains over the course of his existence. Superman also regularly receives new powers, making the differences between him and Kratos even bigger.
Historical Rivalry. The Man of Steel and The Flash first raced each other in 1967, in Superman #199, by Jim Shooter Curt Swan, and George Klein. Like many of their future races, the pair go up against each other for charity. They competed twice for good causes, and in both instances, the races ended in a tie.
Batman is no King. He may be invincible to some, and he may be just as powerful as any god-like superhero in the DC Universe, but he has no throne to sit on, just a batcave. He may be the protector of Gotham City, but Black Panther is a sovereign ruler. Batman just can't compete with that. Ring the bell.
Rz5mJi. Looking at both positive and negative takes on Batman V Superman, it seems as though there's a lot of fundamental agreement on what the highs and lows of the movie were.. For example, many of those who enjoyed it were willing to acknowledge that the film's editing could have been better, or that a subplot involving Lois Lane investigating a mysterious bullet was ill thought-o
1. Batman is a better fighter. 2. Batman is a genius. 3. Batman's character is just better! Yes I know, Superman has almost every damn super power from super strength to shooting laser beams out his ass (OK I might have made that last one up but you get the point).
Despite his proficiency, he’s no match for Batman. The Dark Knight has managed to come up with effective plans to take down the Justice League, has beaten Superman more than once, and defeated several gods in battle, including Darkseid. When it comes to planning and tactics, there’s no one better than Batman.
Yeah exactly this. In a straight Batman vs. Superman fight gladiator style, Batman gets fucking rocked 10/10. However thats often not the case. Lex is smarter than Bats definitely (not by an amount that makes it unbelievable that Batman could take Supes when Lex can't though), but Batman Knows Superman better than anyone in the universe.
To me Superman is a more potent metaphor than Cap, though the latter is by no means lacking. Cap is human, so subject to flaws. Supes is the living embodiment of justice. So, in an Absolute way, Superman is better. But, in a relative way, Capitain America is better, because he is the human measure of Superman.
By the creators' own admission, Superman is a tougher nut to crack than Batman. They clearly understood the appeal of both characters and tried to develop styles that would compliment the stories and worlds best suited for them (BTAS was crime and espionage stories set in a sort of noir, pseudo-past whereas STAS was sci-fi and adventure stories
is batman or superman better
